These fully functional are crafted from 16 gauge steel and are fully articulated. A black leather glove has been riveted and incorporated into the metal Mitten. The genuine leather glove helps to protect the hands in many ways and allows the sword wielder to have a solid and firm grip when fighting. Thumb and 4 fingers has been riveted down and is very flexible, allowing finger to fold freely. The leather glove is seamlessly stitched down to a thicker 5 mm leather and attached to the 16 gauge steel gauntlet using offering double strength.Thumb fully protected from hard blows with added protection to remaining fingers during fighting. Leather gloves riveted to leather sheet at edges for confit wear. This item is covered in oil to prevent oxidation. Regular maintenance and cleaning should be done to prevent rusting.

I ordered these to replace some older aluminum gauntlets I have. Initial impressions: they are comfortable, and good looking. It took me a couple weeks from receiving to actually get to fight. After fighting I can say they did provide good grip even as a mitten style. Plenty of protection to the hands as I took several strikes and didn't feel anything except the impact. No true Force transfered through. My critiques at this point are the straps holding the thumbs are weak and one broke early in the fighting. The thumb glove had an issue staying in the armor. I replaced the strap with a thicker slightly wider strap and drilled a hole in thumb to stick the glove in and haven't had any issue. This took less than an hour to correct and I recommend it for anyone wanting these for actual combat. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend.
