Medieval Russian Helmet fully functional, made in 18 G steel also know as Gnezdovo Helmet. Leather liner with chin strap included for comfort wear. This helmet comes with 16 Gauge butted chain mail aventail / curtain. You can also choose variety of other chain mail combinations at a little extra cost to replace the curtain given in the listing photograph. We are also offering choice of finish to match the curtain to your new or existing chain mail. ** By Default Original Oil Finish curtain will be attached and send along with the helmet. Please remember to select choice of finish in the listing to avoid inconvenience later.** If you choose to order 6 mm curtain with the helmet, it will be sent in either Oiled or Black finish, any additional amount received for the galvanized finish will be refunded back.

love the product no it did come into a circular form rather than the oval shaped, that of which it was stated in the description on what the helmet design would be like. But still would recommend the helmet for anyone who is into the type of Slavic or step people style arms and equipment

Jesse 22/08/2016 I ordered the helmet with a riveted aventail and I can report that the helm and maille looks beautiful together. This helm was exactly what ordered and arrived a few days early. Although the helm comes with a leather suspension liner and straps, it is best worn with a thickly padded coif as well. I intend to further modify the aventail by enlarging it and attaching it to the nasal guard. The aventail can also be nicely tied together below the chin. Great deal for a low price.
