Incredible historical details and very sturdy! I bought this for my 2nd-century Roman legionary kit, and the accuracy is fantastic. The steel cross bracing on the skull is a great touch, mimicking the historical reinforcement used to block Dacian falx strikes.
The brass trim and rivets add a beautiful contrast against the steel without looking overly flashy. It sits nicely on the head, and the hinged cheek flaps offer excellent coverage while still allowing you to speak and breathe easily. The ear cutouts also mean you can actually hear commands during reenactment events. Like most of these helmets, it comes well-oiled to prevent rust, so keep a rag handy when you first unbox it. An exceptional piece for Roman history enthusiasts, marching groups, or display.
