Milanese Armet Early 15th Century. This Italian medieval helmet appears to be a transitional helmet having both later 15th century armet features as well as earlier 14th century features such as the inclusion of Vervelles or posts for attaching a mail camail. The removable visor is shaped similarly to the “Great Bascinet” and was most likely used for tournaments. this Milanese Armet comes with hinged locking side plates, and moveable visor. This custom made helmet comes with 16 Gauge steel. Great for historical display or re-enactments. Each Armet is fully functional, re-enactment ready and will perform just as well as the originals. European groups have been using these types of helmets in live steel/re-enactments for years. Standard Adult Size fully wearable.
