The Pig Faced hound skull was a form of bassinet with a visor covering the entire face. It is the visor which gives the helmet its name, as this resembles the face of a hound, with a protruding muzzle in order to better protect the face from blows and to grant greater ventilation through holes in the "muzzle," such holes being either on the right side of the "muzzle" with additional holes near the mouth. This helmet also has to eye holes beneath so that warrior will have front and bottom view in the field.
The visor can be completely detach to offer visibility and unrestricted ventilation when not in the battle field.

Good fit. there a lot of sharp edge around the face but since i don't intend to wear the face not that big of a deal i wish the brass trimming was there to cover the edge but its not like that and i was aware of it before buying. but the helmet itself is pretty great and well done.
