I bought this Moravian nasal helmet for my historical re-enactment group, and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. The craftsmanship is top-notch. You can tell it is made from high-quality steel because it has a great, authentic weight to it without being completely exhausting to wear during long sessions.
The nasal guard is thick and sturdy, providing excellent facial protection without blocking my line of sight. I have already taken a few direct hits to the head during sparring, and the helmet barely showed a scratch—no structural warping or dangerous denting at all.
Inside, the liner is surprisingly comfortable and keeps the helmet securely in place without it shifting around when I move quickly. If you are into SCA, HEMA, or just want a historically accurate 11th-century piece for your collection, this is worth every penny. It looks fierce on display and performs even better in combat!
