I'll be honest, most aluminum maille I see is pretty crappy, usually too shiny too badly put together. I took a risk ordering this, and got the antiqued version, and granted it actually looks VERY LITTLE DIFFERENT from my steel hauberk. Rings are a bit thicker than steel giving the illusion it's heavier, it has alternating rows so looks good. It was a risk WORTH taking to be frank. I normally WONT recommend aluminum maille but... this one is one I HIGHLY recommend. But DO get the finish, it's worth it. I give it 5/5 and weight wise it DOESNT kill me like my old steel one did.
