I picked up this maille for a medieval reenactment event and specifically chose the 58-inch size because I wanted enough room to wear it over my gambeson. The fit worked out really well for me, and I didn’t feel restricted when moving around or carrying my shield. I really like the wedge and flat riveted ring combination because it gives the maille a rugged, traditional appearance that looks great with my tunic and leather gear. I wore it for most of the afternoon at our last event and was pleased with how comfortable it remained. It’s now one of the pieces I’m most looking forward to wearing at future reenactments.
