Description

This great helmet is depicted profusely throughout the Maciejowski or Morgan Bible and is typical of those enclosed helmets being worn by the mid 13th century by armored knights.
The Maciejowski Helmet was also known as the barrel helmet. Strong 16 gauge thickness of the steel is appropriate to bear quite heavy blows, so it's perfect for Reenactment. It can also be worn over a maille coif but be sure to use a good padded arming cap. It has closed characteristics to the .Great Helm. A chin strip is provided for comfortable fit. 
Size is perfect and needs a little padding to adjust the position of the helm on the head.

The Helmet comes pre oiled for protection from rust.

The quality of the helm is excellent.
The thickness of the steel is appropriate to bear quite heavy blows, so it's perfect for Reenactment.
The shape is perfect too, and I think is a very accurate XIII century replica of a Macejowski style helmet.
Size is perfect and needs a little padding to adjust the position of the helm on the head, but I did the same with all my helmets.
The seller is pofessional and very kind; shipping costs are affordable and time of delivery is reasonable.
The price is unrivalled.
I surely recommend this helmet.

Fantastic helmet. Very big, enough room for a padded cap and mail coif. I will be making a padded liner for this one. I feel it's necessary because of all the room from front to back.

I recommend this helmet.
