These Jack Chains are sold as a pair and are constructed from 14 Gauge steel and can be riveted or laced to your Gambeson-Sleeves. Jack Chains were an important part of infantry armor in late medieval period foot soldiers usually were not protected by plate armor and wore a padded doublet arming-jack or Gambeson. The Jack Chains were fastened to the sleeves of the jacket to protect the arms against cuts.
