This is a type of Roman Ridge Helmet, this version without the nasal guard, very similar to the Augsburg-Pfersee Ridge Helmet from the mid 4th century. This was probably a cavalry helmet as it has the typical cheek pieces and the lack of nasal guard was more than likely to improve vision.
This is a replica of a Late-Roman helmet found in Italy. Helmets like this were worn by the Roman legionaries around the 3th century AD. Possibly the model of the helmets found there were derived from the helmets of the Persian Empire, which was emerging in that period.
The helmet is made of steel and has cheek plates and a neck protector. The helmet is decorated with motives that are typical for the Roman art style.Use a heavy inner padding inside for protection. Standard Adult Size fully wearable.
